Robert Ferraresi, age 83, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1986, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucy Ferraresi (nee Bergamini); son Alexander Ferraresi; daughter Roberta (Dan) Tamburrino; grandchildren Ciara, Nicholas, and Joseph Tamburrino; great-grandson Lucca Tamburrino; sisters Vanda and Iole Ferraresi; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Amalio Ferraresi and Anita DeSalvia; brothers Isaia, Antonio, Francesco, and Marcello; sisters Diomira and Maria; nephews Peter Ferraresi and Dario Brugnoli.
Robert was born in Montecelio, Italy in 1935 as the youngest son of Amalio Ferraresi and Anita DeSalvia. He had witnessed WWII as a young child, and it affected his political views his entire life. He often recounted memories of a crowded but loving home growing up with his large family. Robert moved to Rome in his childhood where he remained until he married Lucy Bergamini and moved to the U.S. in 1966. He retired from Precision Steel in 1998 and became a U.S. citizen in 2005. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Inurnment will take place at a future date in Italy.
