Beloved husband of Denise Strom (nee Dziagwa), whom he married August 5, 1978, loving father of Melissa, Kristen and Matthew Strom,, adored grandfather of Gabriel, devoted son of the late Jack and Vonna (nee Willison) Strom, dear brother of Debi (Ron) Rather and Lori (Scott) Mora, both Colorado Springs, CO, fond brother-in-law of Mark Dziagwa of Streamwood, IL, Janice (Tim) Vincent of Hoffman Estates, IL and Darlene (Tim) Young of Jacksonville, FL, fond cousin, uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

Doug grew up in Oak Park, attended Longfellow Elementary School and was a 1969 graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School.
