Obituary for Ralph F. Rouse

Ralph F. Rouse, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2018. He was born on May 31, 1929 in Joliet, IL to the late Ralph and Josephine Rouse.

Ralph was raised in Pontiac, Michigan and moved to Plainfield, IL in 1947. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1953. He then began working for Illinois Bell and retired after 40 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Plainfield Fire Department for over 65 years, a member of the Plainfield American Legion Marne Post #13, the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #536, and a lifelong member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Shirley; his children, Karen (the late Connie) Puetz, Kimberly Ratkovich, Kirk (Cathy) Rouse and Keith Rouse; his six grandchildren, Jason Puetz, Tyler (Kate) Puetz, Zachary, Nick, Ben and Katie Rouse; his great-granddaugher, Violet Mae Puetz; and his nephew, Tim Cragher. He was preceded in death by his sister, Josephine Cragher; his brother, George Rouse; and his nephew, Tom Cragher.

He will be remembered for his passion for the Plainfield Fire Department and his love of anything John Deere.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Plainfield Eichelberger Scholarship Fund, in care of the Plainfield Fire District, 23734 W. 135th Street, Plainfield, IL 60544 would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 19, 11:00 AM at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 15114 S. Illinois St., Plainfield, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will follow at the Plainfield Township Cemetery.

Obituary for Jose Alfonso "Poncho" Ferrel

Jose Alfonso "Poncho" Ferrel , age 40, a resident of Lisle, IL for thirty years, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born January 23, 1978 in Yurecuaro, Michoacán, Mexico.

Loving son of the late Eufracia Morales Lopez, beloved brother of Juan, Miguel (Areli), Chivo, Angel (Griselda), Maria Carmen and Norma, adored uncle of many including Cindy, Carla, Sofia, Isaac, Maria "Chole", Yamithlat and Rodolfo, Juan David and Jesus, dear nephew, cousin and friend to many.

Poncho was a beloved employee of Angeli's Restaurant in Naperville for over five years. He was the successful coach of Deportivo Yure soccer team in Woodridge, IL who helped win eight championships.
Poncho will be remembered most for his role as "patriach of his family". Poncho served as a father figure to his brothers and sisters who thank him and will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018, 4:00-9:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St, Naperville.
Interment: Private.
