Obituary for Mary Jane Bukowski

Mary Jane Bukowski (nee Weber), age 95, a resident of Bolingbrook, IL since 1995, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at her home. She was born May 4, 1924 in Chicago.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Bukowski, whom she married June 7, 1947 and who preceded her in death on September 28, 1997, loving mother of Donna Mooney of Phoenix, AZ, Janice (Michael) Turone of Naperville, Karen (John) Battaglia of Naperville, Randy (Rashell) Bukowski of Federal Way, WA and James Banks of Carol Stream, IL, adored grandmother of Bonnie McCaw, Kerry Scott, Sarah Moreland and Caitlin (Boris) Patlis; Jennifer (Mark) Simon, Michael (Maria) Turone, Melissa (Russell) LaPage and Mary Beth (Matthew) Galvan; Jillian (Matthew) Zaucha, Matthew (Courtney) Battaglia and Jenna Battaglia; Riley Bukowski and Seamus Banks, cherished great-grandmother of Dylan, Ian, Trenton and Colin, Elijah, Jonah, Naarah and Hannah; Alyssa, Michael and Silas; Vivian and Conor; Everly. Devoted daughter of the late George and Anna (nee Solt) Weber, dear sister of Wayne (the late Yvonne) Weber of Elmhurst, IL, Ronald (Marlene) Weber of Hampshire, IL and the late Raymond (the late June) Weber, Richard (the late Patricia) Weber, LaVerne (the late Cliff) Nalon, George Weber, Patricia (the late Jack) Reynertson, Kenneth Weber and Anna Weber, fond aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.

Mary Jane grew up on Chicago's Northwest Side, attended St Ferdinand Catholic Church and was a 1942 graduate of Steinmetz High School. A loving and devoted homemaker, Mary Jane also worked for many years at Bea's Cuddle Shop, a children's specialty apparel store, on Central Avenue in Chicago. She was a former member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Chicago and St. Dominic Catholic Church in Bolingbrook, where she sang in the choir and was a current member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Naperville.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2019, 3:00-9:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville.

Family and friends will meet Saturday, October 19th to celebrate a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2220 Lisson Rd., Naperville.

Everyone will meet Saturday, 12:30 PM at the office in Maryhill Cemetery, 8600 N Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL 60714, (847) 823-0982 for chapel committal services.
