Obituary for James O. Kilgore

James O. Kilgore, age 64 of Plainfield, IL formerly of Crest Hill, IL, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center of Joliet. He was born November 18, 1955 in Oak Park to his loving late parents, Ogden and Dorothy Kilgore.

Cherished husband of Dionne Kilgore, nee Arient, wedded on February 13, 1999.

Beloved father of Christina (Michael) Strysik, James (Tina) Kilgore, Jr., Holly (the late Derek) Hogg and Kyle Kilgore.

Adored grandpa of Autumn, Brett, and Ashley Strysik, Madelyn and Caleb Kilgore, Paxton, Hayden and Brinlee Hogg.

Dearest brother of Kathleen (Gary) Matusek, Debra Kilgore, and Laura (Don) Bradley.

Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Jim graduated from Proviso West High School, class of 1974. He spent his entire career at Sears Department stores at many locations through-out the Chicago land area. Jim loved talking politics, spending time with family especially his grandchildren, finding new restaurants to visit, taking walks and viewing nature. Jim loved the newest, updated and most improved electronics devices.

In lieu of flowers the family would be honored if donations to the upcoming polar plunge on Jan. 25th. All proceeds benefit families in a medical crisis.
