Obituary for Raymond J. Salutric

Raymond J. "Ray" Salutric, age 60, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1992, formerly of Berkeley, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at his home. He was born March 23, 1957 in Chicago, IL.

Beloved husband of Linda C. Salutric (nee Mueller), whom he married October 20, 1979, loving father of David (Elena) Salutric of Stamford, CT and Michelle (Patrick Wiebe) Salutric of Lombard, IL, devoted son of the late Raymond B. and Elizabeth (nee Gehl) Salutric, dear brother of Patricia (Bill) Yorcis of Douglasville, GA, son-in-law of Lillian and the late Gene Mueller, dear uncle of Michael (Amanda) Yorcis of Douglasville, GA and the late Brian Yorcis, fond cousin and friend of many.

Ray grew up in Berkeley, IL, attended St. Domitilla Grade School and was a 1975 graduate of Proviso West High School where he played football. He attended the University of Wyoming at Laramie where he played rugby and later attended Triton College in River Grove, IL. Before becoming disabled in 1997, Ray worked for many years helping companies improve their operations. He enjoyed watching sporting events, especially the 2007 Naperville North High School football state champions.

Visitation Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

Private interment: Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Raymond was always trying to help veterans. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to a veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
