Obituary for Michael D. "Mike" Fregeau

Michael D. “Mike” Fregeau, age 56, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 2007, formerly of Chicago and Joliet, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born October 31, 1961 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Oliver "Ollie" and Mary “Tootie” (nee DuPont) Fregeau.

Beloved husband of Kathleen A. “Kathy” Fregeau (nee Kraus), whom he married May 26, 1989, loving father of Brett (Melissa) Fregeau of Arizona and Samantha Fregeau of Plainfield, dear brother of Alan Fregeau of Arizona, dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by his dog, Buster.

Mike grew up on Chicago’s southwest side and was a graduate of Kennedy High School. He was employed by Titan Metals Inc, Glendale Heights, IL for many years and was a member of St John Lutheran Church, Joliet, IL. Mike’s passions included photography and motorcycles.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2018, 4:00-8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Friday, January 26, 10:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, 2650 Plainfield Rd., Joliet, IL 60435, (815) 439-2320, www.stjohnjoliet.org with Pastor Jennifer Beamsley officiating.

Interment: Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace, IL.
