Obituary for Catherine A. Sowinski

Catherine A. Sowinski (nee Kaleta), age 99, a former resident of Independence Village in Naperville, IL and Chicago's Garfield Ridge neighborhood, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Arbor Terrace of Naperville. She was born October 25, 1918 in Chicago, IL, loving daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Kaleta. Cherished wife of the late Theodore Sowinski, whom she married May 30, 1942 and who preceded her in death June 14, 2004. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Linda) Sowinski of Socorro, NM, Carole Summer (Chris Webster) of Kaslo, British Columbia, Canada, Theodore (Fran Sampson) Sowinski of Oak Park, IL, and Linda Sowinski of Aurora, IL. Adored grandmother of Ananda Lata (Thomas) Etcheverry, Laurel Shane, Anthony and Peter Sowinski, and Charles Sowinski. Loving great-grandmother of Evans, Gabriel, Charlotte, and Josephine Etcheverry. Fond sister of Sandy Kaleta, Edward Kaleta and the late Estelle Zajac.

Private Graveside services will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
