Victor V. "Vic" Raimondi

August 02, 1930 - October 30, 2017

Victor V. "Vic" Raimondi, age 87, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1967, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home. He was born August 2, 1930 in Chicago, IL. 

Beloved husband of Joan M. Raimondi (nee Carmody), whom he married September 3, 1955, loving father of Steve Raimondi, Patrick Raimondi, Mike Raimondi and Bob (Laura) Raimondi and an infant daughter, the late Mary Lou Raimondi, adored grandfather of Kaitlin and Alyssa Raimondi, devoted son of the late Stefano and Stella Raimondi, dear brother of Mary Anne (Frank) Jakalski and Harry (Irene) Raimondi, brother-in-law of Patricia (the late Ed) Huot, fond cousin, uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

Vic grew up in Chicago's Portage Park neighborhood, attended  St. Bartholomew Grade School and was a graduate of St. Mel High School. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ, and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Vic worked for 30 years as a chemist at the Amoco (now BP Amoco) Research Center in Naperville.  He was a longtime member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville and enjoyed swimming and bowling in the St. Joan of Arc bowling league at the Lisle Bowl.

Funeral Information

Memorial Visitation Monday, November 6, 2017, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville.

Interment: Private.
