Dorla J. Ellis, age 81 of Crest Hill, IL at rest Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at home with her family at her side. Born July 25, 1930 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Nieman. Beloved wife of 53 years of Richard, loving mother of Kenneth (Amy) Ellis and Judith (Thornton) Woerner, cherished grandmother of Patrick, Rachel and Alison Woerner, dear sister of Thomas (Eileen) Nieman, and fond aunt of Thomas (Elizabeth) Nieman, Jr. Dorla is a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills, where she served as Deacon. In her free time she enjoyed embroidering, spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a camping enthusiast with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial to the Alzheimer’s Association, 8430 Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Community Presbyterian Church, 39 N. Prospect Avenue, Clarendon Hill, IL. Interment private.
