Laurence H. “Laury” Dobson, age 90, of Naperville, IL, formerly of Villa Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Tabor Hills Healthcare Center in Naperville. He was born on May 7, 1922 in Chicago, IL. Laurence is survived by his daughter, Debra, son-in-law Steve, and close friend, Hildie. He was married to Helen Dobson for 51 years until her passing in 2000. Laurence was a resident of Villa Park for 46 years and moved to Naperville’s Tabor Hills Retirement Community in 1996. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during World War II. After the war, he was employed by Sears, Roebuck & Company for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Judd Kendall VFW Post #3873, Naperville and was a DuPage County Republican Precinct Committeeman for over fifty years. The family would like to thank Tabor Hills for 17 years of caring, compassion, and understanding.
