Karen J. Gallahue

Karen J. Gallahue, age 80, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1972, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2017 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. She was born June 26, 1936 in St. Paul, MN. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Greg Gallahue; her loving children, Tom (Pam) Gallahue of Naperville, IL, Kathy (George) Hogan of Naperville, IL, Dave (Cathy) Gallahue of Phoenix, AZ and Maureen Jansen of Naperville, IL; her cherished grandchildren, Katie and Tommy Gallahue, Ryan, Sean and Kailee Hogan; her brother, Thomas (Bev) Horak of White Bear Lake, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Ruth Horak. Karen enjoyed writing and published two mystery novels. She served as an occupational therapist for District 203 for many years. Karen was an active member of St. Raphael Church. She loved to travel and educated herself on the people and language of the region before each trip. Karen will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 22 for the 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville. A private family interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Paul, MN. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville was entrusted with arrangements.
