William J. Costigan

January 22, 1929 - October 08, 2017

William J. “Bill” Costigan, age 88, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, formerly of Brentwood, NY and Ansonia, CT,  passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 at his Naperville home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 22, 1929 in Derby, Connecticut. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Grace Costigan nee Harrison; his loving children William G. (Laura) Costigan, Linda D. Costigan, James R. (Denise) Costigan, and Thomas G. Costigan; his cherished grandchildren Christopher Costigan, Katherine Costigan, Meghan Costigan, Karyn (Bryan) Schuler, Michelle Costigan, Mary (Craig) Mandel, Thomas (Kate) Costigan, and William J. Costigan; his great grandchildren Aidan, Ethan, and Ryan Mandel and Colin and Margaret Costigan; his brother Robert M. (Marion) Costigan; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews; and all of his special cousins in Connecticut. Bill is preceded in death by his loving parents Alice and William J. Costigan; his dear brother John (Virginia) Costigan. He served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy from 1946-1951. Bill retired from Entenmann’s as a regional sales manager. He was a member of the Resurrection Choir at St. Raphael Church and choir member at St. Margaret Mary Church. Bill was a great friend of many and will be missed by all. Funeral Information

 Family and friends to gather Wednesday, October 18 for memorial visitation 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St Margaret Mary Church 1450 Green Trails Dr. Naperville, IL 60540. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
