Bette A. Enright (nee Butler), age 77, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1972, formerly of Lexington, KY and Santa Monica, CA, at rest on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago after suffering a sudden and severe stroke that came without warning on Good Friday. She was born March 1, 1940 in Russellville, AR.
Beloved wife of Daniel W. Enright, whom she married October 15, 1966, loving mother of Beth and Kati Enright; devoted daughter of the late Maxie (nee Hood) and Benjamin "Clifton" Butler; sister of Nancy Friedenfeld of Florida; fond aunt of Keith (Lory) Faulconer, Susan (Chris) Gallup and Bette (Hervey) Johns, great-aunt of many, including Lilliana Faulkner, cousin, and friend to all.
Bette grew in up in Lexington, KY, was a graduate of Henry Clay High School and attended the University of Kentucky. Before starting her family, Bette worked as a stewardess, and later in ticketing, for American Airlines. She was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington before converting to Roman Catholicism and was currently a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. Bette was a member of the Guild of St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville and the Kiwi Club of Chicago, an organization for former flight attendants. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and was an avid knitter.
Visitation Friday, April 28, 2017, 5:00-9:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Additional visitation Saturday, April 29, 9:00-10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Saturday, 10:00 A.M at St. Patrick's Residence.
Private Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
