Debra J. Rury

November 19, 1954 - January 30, 2013

Debra J. Rury, nee Lantz, age 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born November 19, 1954 in Aurora, IL.

Deb is survived by her loving daughters, Tracie Caudill, Jayme Rury, Rebecca (Dave) BurlinGame and Racheal (Jon) Todd; her son-in-law, Doug Busch; her adored grandbabies, Lyndsey, Lantz and Luke Caudill, Ryan Busch, Griffin BurlinGame, Bevan, River and Jasper Todd; her brothers, Bob (Joann) Lantz, Ed (the late Shirley) Lantz and Roger (Linda) Lantz; and her sisters, Judy (the late Frank) Lantz and Mary (Wayne) Hedberg; as well as a lifetime of good friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, E. Earl Rury in June 2012; her son, Frank Rury; her brother, Melvin “Corky” (the late Cathy) Lantz; her nephew, Bobby Lantz and niece, Hazel Deoca; and her parents, Lowell and Joyce Lantz.

Deb and her family would like to take this opportunity to thank her caregiver and dear friend, Mary Dickerson, and the Joliet Area Community Hospice Team, especially her nurse, Chris Miller, for their wonderful care and support over the last few months.

Deb was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 2197 and a past Senior Regent. She was employed by MetLife for over 16 years until she became disabled. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield. A Celebration of Deb’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 10:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
