MARTHA J. SIEG

Martha J. Sieg, age 94, a resident of Cedarlake Village, Plainfield, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at The Tillers, Oswego. She was born March 9, 1918 in Simpson, Kansas.

Martha is survived by her loving children, Jane (Robert) Barnet of Plainfield, IL, Mary (Edward) Grosser of Clarendon Hills, IL, Margaret (Michael) Allen of Newberg, OR; her cherished grandchildren, Barbara (David) Giocolo, Karyn (Keith) Yamanaka, David (Tammy) Allen, Paul (Deborah) Allen, Kristina (Bradley) Brucker, Edward (Kristin) Grosser; as well as her twelve adored great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Sieg in 1981; her parents, Rubin and Mary Johnson and her brother, William Johnson.

Martha was very active in her church, the PTA and a devoted wife and mother. She was a former president of ROOTS and the Ladies Aide Society in Bedford Park, IL.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield. A Celebration of Martha’s Life will begin at 3:00 PM at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bill Beagle, officiating. A private family interment will be at the Glasco Cemetery in Glasco, KS at a later date.
