Thomas E. "Tom" Vosburgh

Thomas E. "Tom" Vosburgh, age 66, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1986, formerly of Peru, Naperville and Warrenville, IL, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born March 13, 1951 in Berwyn, IL.
Beloved husband of Lana Vosburgh (nee Galli), whom he married June 25, 1972, loving father of Eric (Michelle) Vosburgh of San Antonio, TX and Kevin (Jessica) Vosburgh of Oswego, IL, adored grandfather of Hailey and Reid Vosburgh; Grant, Troy, Sean and Holly Vosburgh, devoted son of the late Clarence and Jeanne (nee Balducci) Vosburgh, dear brother of Jeffrey (Kim) Vosburgh of Parkers Prairie, MN and the late Michael (Elizabeth) Vosburgh, brother-in-law of Linda (Butch) Bianchi of Spring Valley, IL and Carl Walsh of Spring Valley, fond uncle of James Vosburgh, William Vosburgh, Chad (Tammy) Bianchi and Courtney Davis, great-uncle and friend of many.
Tom grew up in Hinsdale, Naperville and Peru, IL. He attended Highland Elementary in Naperville, Washington Junior High School in Peru and was a 1969 graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School. He attended Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby, IL and in 1973 earned a degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University, Macomb. Tom served with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, Wheaton, IL for thirty years, retiring as a detective in 2001.
Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting and served as a scoutmaster and board of directors for Boy Scout Troop 514, Warrenville, IL. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville, the Fraternal Order of Police (President), Hennepin Duck Club and Ducks Unlimited.
Memorial visitation Friday, November 17, 2017, 3:30-5:30 PM at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville.
A celebration of Tom's life will follow Friday, 5:30 PM at Knox Presbyterian Church with Rev. Cindy Karis officiating.
