Rose Marie Filotto

November 13, 1934 - November 13, 2017

Rose Marie Filotto, age 83, a resident of Plainfield, IL, was born on November 13, 1934 and passed away peacefully on November 13, 2017 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Rose Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Donald J. Filotto; her three daughters, Debbie (Paul) Gawel of Plainfield, Lisa (Dennis) Hundley of Plainfield, and Donna (Jim) Lawler of Mokena; her five cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan Hundley, Rachel Gawel, and Jacob and Matthew Lawler; her dear sister, Irene (the late Jim) Pareti of Westchester and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Anna (nee Voltarel) Dalpos; her four brothers, Joseph (the late Marge) Dalpos, Albert ( the late Edythe) Dalpos, Ernie (the late Gloria) Dalpos and John Dalpos; her sisters, Genevieve Dalpos and Helen (the late Max) Helix; her parents-in-law, John and Antoinette (Pesavento) Filotto; her brother-in-law, Francis  (the late Marcella) Filotto and her sister-in-law, Joann (the late Thomas) Ferderer.

Rose was born in Lemont, IL and was longtime resident of Lockport, IL. She was a graduate of Lockport High School. She worked for many years at the First National Bank of Lockport, at St. Andrew’s School in Romeoville where she served as the Librarian and Edward D. Jones in Lockport. After her retirement she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Romeoville.

 

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 17, 11:00 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield. Interment will be private.
