Margaret M. "Marge" Zielak

March 28, 1933 - April 13, 2017

Margaret “Marge” Zielak (nee Nolan), age 84, a Naperville, IL resident since 1964, died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at The Springs of Monarch Landing, Naperville. She was born March 28, 1933 in Chicago, IL.

Beloved wife of the late Mitchell E. “Mitch” Zielak, whom she married June 5, 1954 and who preceded her in death July 9, 2012, loving mother of JoAnn (Jeff) Lau of New York, Mary Ellen (Peter) Schettek of Aurora, IL and Diane (Owen) Larson of Missouri, cherished grandmother of Michael, Jaedyn, Christopher and Brayton, devoted daughter of the late George and Josephine (nee Sutherland) Nolan, dear sister of Alice Kupka of Los Gatos, CA and the late George "Bud" Nolan, John "Jack" Nolan and Joan Svehla, sister-in-law of Rosemary, George and the late Geraldine and Emily, fond aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.

Marge grew up near Midway Airport in Chicago and was a graduate of Loretto High School. A loving and devoted homemaker, Marge later worked as a keypunch operator at Commercial Resource Company (CRC)  in Naperville.  Marge was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville and enjoyed crocheting, coloring and playing board games with her grandchildren, especially Monopoly and Dominoes. She will be remembered for her wonderful Irish gift of gab.

Funeral Information

Visitation Monday, April 17, 2017, 4:00-9:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.  

Services will begin Tuesday, April 18, 9:45 A.M. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville, IL with Fr. Jack Lau officiating 

Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
