Ray N. Nix

January 13, 1952 - February 21, 2013

Ray N. Nix, age 61, a 30 year resident of Bolingbrook, IL, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2013. He was born on January 13, 1952 in Chicago, IL.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Donna; his daughters, Sandra (Jack) Lusk of Joliet, IL and Cindy (Jeff Hein) Nix of Plainfield, IL; his grandchildren, Aubrey Bargehr, Maxwell and Nathan Lusk; his great-grandson, Cole Presi; and his brother, Dale (Annette) Nix of Oak Lawn, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Katherine Nix.

Ray was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Security Agency with over 22 years of dedicated service, and was very involved with Boy Scout Troop 32 in Bolingbrook for several years. Above all though, Ray was a family man who lived every moment of his life for his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Sunday, February 24, 2:00 until 7:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 25, 10:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1501 W. Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook. Interment with military honors will follow at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
