Valerie M. Mackanin, age 82 of Crest Hill, IL, at rest March 28, 2012 at the Lakewood Nursing Center in Plainfield, IL. Born November 21, 1929 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late John and Anna Jurgalonis. Beloved wife of the late Peter, loving mother of Robert (Janet) Mackanin, Peter (Nancy) Mackanin, John (Susan) Mackanin and Patricia (Jack) Patterson, cherished grandmother of Erin, Katherine, Kerin, Shane, Matthew, Adam, Molly and Maddy, fond sister of the late Joan Bruce. The family of Valerie send their everlasting thanks for the tender and loving care provided by Donna Cavazos.
