Arlene T. Bernicky

Arlene T. Bernicky (nee Schau), age 72, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1979, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL.    

Beloved mother of Steven (Cindy) Bernicky of Aurora, IL and Tara Bernicky of Naperville, adored grandmother of Rachel and Danielle Bernicky, devoted daughter of the late George and Rita (nee Kozlowski) Schau, dear sister of Georgene (Ed)  Kubacki of Marengo, Il, Bob Schau of Naperville, Karen (Ken) Rybicki of Dyer, IN, Jerry (Betty) Schau of Lisle, IL and the late Joyce Schau, cherished aunt of David (Suzie), Mark, Julie, Lisa (Kevin), Laura, Jason and Patrick, fond great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Arlene will be missed by her Yorkshire Terrier, Mia.

Arlene grew up in Hammond, IN, attended St. Casimir Grade School and Hammond Technical-Vocational High School. She was employed by Amoco/BP for over twenty years, retiring in 2009. Arlene was a longtime member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville, was an enthusiastic and tireless volunteer for the Edward Cancer Center in Naperville and enjoyed watching sports, especially her beloved grandchildren and the Cubs, and Bears.

Funeral Information

Visitation Tuesday, October 11, 2016, 3:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. 
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 12, 10:30 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Road, Naperville, IL.

Entombment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
