Alice R. Stranc (nee Mellens), age 98, a resident of Spring Meadows Naperville for the past 9 years and formerly longtime resident of Chicago, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012. Alice is survived by her nephews and nieces, Mark (Mary) Mellens of Naperville, Walter (Barbara) Mellens of Chicago, Lorree Grimmett of California, Linda (Greg) Filis of Florida, Rita (Donald) Henry and John (Denise) Farrell of Oak Lawn, Anthony (Anita) Mellens of Kentucky and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph, brothers: Vincent, Anthony (Estelle), Walter (Frances), and sister, Pauline (“Red”) Valanis. |
