Joseph “Joey” Galluzzi, age 50, a resident of Plainfield, IL, passed away on September 11, 2017 at Edward Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 28, 1967.
Joey is survived by his son, Nicholas Galluzzi; his mother, Peggie (Gary) Breaugh; his father, Sabatino “Sam” Galluzzi; his two brothers, Frank (Lora) Galluzzi and Dino Galluzzi; his sister, Angela (Carmelo) Scrofano and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Gina Marie Galluzzi. Joey will especially be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor and his love of family. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing cards and making his famous Sunday gravy. For everyone who was fortunate enough to have him in their life, knew Joey as the person who always put the needs of others first. His proudest achievement in life was being a father. His son’s happiness was the most important thing to Joey and he couldn’t wait to watch Nicholas graduate from college. Joey’s life was taken away from his loved one’s way to soon but the memories we have of him will live on and never be forgotten!
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Joey on Saturday, September 16, 2:00 PM until the time of memorial services at 4:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S.
