Rose A. Wyllie (nee Enk), age 79, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 2005, formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. She was born October 12, 1937 in Chicago, IL.
Beloved wife of Malcolm C. Wyllie, Sr., whom she married February 7, 1959, loving mother of Malcom Wyllie, Jr. of Plainfield and Ron (Stephanie) Wyllie of Casa Grande, AZ, adored grandmother of Malorie, Micaela, Macie, Mia and Caleb; Eric and Ashley, cherished great-grandmother of William, Brooklyn and Elzie Grace, devoted daughter of the late Harry and Rose Enk, dear sister of Richard (Gene) Enk of South Carolina and Cathy “Bubs” (Mark) Sorrentino of Batavia, IL, sister-in-law of Richard J. Wyllie of Downers Grove, IL, fond aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.
Rose grew up in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood and moved to Lisle, IL in the 8th grade. She was a 1955 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Lisle. Rose was employed as a bookkeeper for John Greene Realtor in Naperville for 25 years. She was a current member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and a former member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, both in Naperville. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.
Visitation Thursday, February 9, 2017, 4:00-8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL.
Services will begin Friday, February 10, 9:00 AM from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Community, 2003 Hassert Blvd. (corner of 111th St. & Book Rd.), Naperville, IL.
Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
