Lois A. Moffitt, age 83 of Plainfield, IL at rest Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her home. Born April 22, 1929 in Astoria, IL, the daughter of the late Ray and Leta Cassel. Beloved wife of the late Alonzo Morgan, Jr. and the late Roy A. Moffitt, Jr.

Loving mother of Debra (the late Michael) Telfer, Dennis Morgan, Joy Diane (Frank) Petrusich, and Janet Morgan. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Sean) Karcz, Jill (fiancé Rich Caauwe) Kaczmarek and David Petrusich and great-grandmother of Colin Karcz. Dear sister of William (Betty) Cassel, Charles (the late Pauline) Cassel, the late Robert Cassel, the late James (Betty) Cassel and the late Mary Sue Cassel. Fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois retired from Caterpillar after 30 years of service and was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and received the D. A. R. award. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Arthritis Foundation, P. O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 96280.

Visitation Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services 15219 S. Joliet Road, Plainfield, IL with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment at the Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield, IL
