Concetta Monferdini

February 19, 1918 - September 07, 2017

Concetta "Connie" Monferdini, age 99, a resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2017 at St. Patrick's Residence. She was born February 19, 1918 in Plainfield, IL.

Connie is survived by her loving daughter Barbara (Clement) Brown of Winfield, IL; her cherished grandchildren Beau Brown of Chicago, IL and Brittany (Jim) O'Hara of Carol Stream, IL; her great grandchild Fallyn O'Hara; numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Vincent Monferdini; her parents JoAnna and Mariano Cucci; her sisters Mary Radice and Rose Streit; her brother Angelo Cucci.

Connie was born and raised in Plainfield, IL and was a longtime member of St. Mary Immaculate Church where she married her late husband Vincent.  She graduated from Plainfield High School Class of 1936. Between the years 1937 and 1983 she resided in Joliet, IL where she was an active member of St. Raymond Cathedral involved in the C.C.W. and St. Raymond's School Mother's Club.  She resided in Wheaton from 1984 until 2014 and was a member of St. Michael's Church. In 2014, she resided in Batavia, IL until moving to St. Patrick's Residence in 2015.

Connie was an avid bowler and was active in multiple leagues in Joliet, and enjoyed playing pinochle in many card clubs while residing in Plainfield, Joliet, and Wheaton IL. She was also an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the White Sox and Bulls.

Funeral Information

Family and friends to gather Monday, September 11 for 9:00 AM visitation until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Residence 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL 60563. Interment will be private.
