Laverne M. Spohr, 90, a longtime resident of McHenry, IL passed away peacefully on July 2, 2012. She was born August 3, 1921 in Chicago. Laverne is survived by her loving children: Beverly (Frank) Studnick, Sandra (John) Stewart and Raymond (Vaira) Spohr, Jr.; her cherished granddaughters: Amy Dye, Julie Simon, Gwen Medford and Sara Schmitt and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Spohr. Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Rts 30 & 59, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Rt 59, Plainfield. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016. |
