John D. Neesley, age 89 of Naperville, IL at rest Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville, IL. Born March 27, 1923 in Clinton, Iowa the son of the late Herbert and Marie Neesley.

Beloved husband of Patricia, loving father of Laurel (Gary) Wing and David Neesley. Cherished grandfather of Nicholos and Grant Neesley. Fond brother of the late Glenn and dear uncle of Daniel (Alice) Neesley.

John served in the US Navy Seabees during WW II in the Pacific Theater. After his return from service, John earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Ohio State University. He retired from the Amoco Corporation in 1984. He was a former President of the Naperville Rotary Club, served on the hospital boards at Central DuPage Hospital and Edward Hospital, also on the Board of Directors for the Bank of Naperville and was very active with the Boy Scouts.
In lieu of flowers, memorial to the Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council, 415 N. 2nd Street, St. Charles, IL 60174.

Memorial Visitation Friday, July 6, 2012 from 4:00 8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville, IL. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville, IL 60540. A private family inurnment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
