Rene M. Blue, passed away on Thanksgiving morning, November 22, 2012 surrounded by the family and friends she loved so much. Rene is survived by her devoted son, Jamie (Becca) Blue of Chicago; her cherished grandchildren, Ezra, Avery and Iris Blue; her loving parents, Arlene and Charles Verre of Las Vegas, NV; her dear brother, Ronald (Thomica) Verre of CA and dear sister, Charlene (Dennis) Brown of TX; her beloved companion, Neil Barkowski; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and countless friends, especially David Shallow and Rose Pagonis. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Keith. Rene was born happy-go-lucky and remained so her entire life. She was a strong and independent woman and was proud of who she was. Always open about her life experiences, Rene dedicated her time and compassion to strengthen those who called upon Gamblers Anonymous. She also enjoyed a lifelong career as a Realtor and was a RE/MAX Agent for almost 30 years. Her endearing smile, tender touch and limitless love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Funeral InformationVisitation will be Monday, November 26, 9:30 until 11:00 AM at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth, Naperville. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. Please wear Pink to keep Rene’s day a true celebration of her life!!
