Virginia L. Bosgraaf (nee Trowbridge), age 93, a resident of Naperville, IL for 20 years, formerly of Chicago and Harvey, IL, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Alden Estates in Naperville. She was born March 13, 1923 in Chicago, IL.
Beloved wife of the late John Bosgraaf, whom she married October 1945 and who preceded her unexpectedly in death on August 28, 1957, beloved mother of Nancy (Joseph) Zukauskas of Naperville and Peggy (Michael) Bridges of Homewood, IL, loving grandmother of Joseph (Colleen) Zukauskas, William (Angela) Zukauskas and Sandra (Michael ) Ramirez; Audrey McDermott, Nancy (Kevin) Statz and Michael (Monier) Bridges, cherished great-grandmother of Noah, Cailee, Christian, Matthew and Jonah Zukauskas; Trevor, Taylor and Travis Zukauskas; Reagan and Avery Ramirez; Alexandria (Gerald), Prudence, Molly and Gretchen Bridges; Wyatt and Archer Statz; Niloo Bridges, great-great grandmother of Caleb and Mya, devoted daughter of the late John and Rose Trowbridge, dear sister of the late John, Thomas, Rose and Rita, dear aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.
Virginia grew up in Chicago and was a graduate of Calumet High School. A loving and devoted homemaker, Virginia took care of her family after her husband's tragic death in an auto accident. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, both in Naperville and a former member of Ascension Catholic Church, Harvey. Virginia was a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed playing BINGO and gardening.
Visitation Monday, March 6, 2017, 3:00-7:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville.
Services will begin Tuesday, March 7, 9:15 AM from the funeral home and will proceed to a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2220 Lisson Rd., Naperville.
Interment: Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL.
