Patricia Ann Frieders

September 23, 1936 - February 27, 2017

Patricia Ann Frieders (nee Midlock), age 80, a resident of Yorkville, IL and a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2017 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. She was born on September 23, 1936 in Joliet, IL. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Joseph J. Frieders; her 3 children, Andrew (Darcia Van Deusen) Frieders of Cary, NC, Daniel (Gabrielle Garrett) Frieders of Kankakee, IL, and Julie (James) Lockhart of Joliet, IL; her 4 grandchildren, Kathryn Lockhart, Timothy Lockhart, Alexander Frieders, and Elleanor Frieders; her sister Anita (John) Green of Plainfield, IL and brother, Eugene (Penelope) Midlock of Los Altos, CA; fond aunt of many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Joan (nee Hlavajcik) Midlock. Pat grew up in Joliet and graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1954. She worked at Illinois Bell Telephone, First National Bank of Joliet, and Plainfield National Bank.  After marrying Joseph in 1966, she devoted most of her time to bookkeeping for Frieders Trucking Inc. and raising her loving children.  Later she enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Kohl's sales associate and manager. Pat's favorite interests included cruising, playing the slots, playing Yahtzee, and spoiling her grandkids. The family would like to thank the medical staff of JOHA and Drs. Aziz, Kinder, Kiesel, Waszak, and especially Dr. Lakhani.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, 10:30 AM at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield.  Interment will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery.
