Elmer Walter Lewis Krock, age 90, of Naperville, IL, at rest in heaven on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. Born February 21, 1922 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Otto and Dorothea Krock.

Beloved and dear husband of Ruth for 65 years. Devoted and amazing father of Richard (Jackie) Krock, Linda (Jerry) Boyer and Luann (David) Satzger. Was truly “Mr. Wonderful” to 7 grandchildren: Alison (Sean), Matthew, Mark, Karen, Sarah, Samantha, Emma and to 2 step-grandchildren: Sean and Shane, also great-grandpa to Rube and 8 step-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dorothy (Pat) Dyra and brother-in-law of Ruth Krock. Elmer is survived by cousins, nephews, nieces and numerous friends and acquaintances.

Gentle and caring, Elmer was deeply respected for his intelligence, compassion and strong God-serving life and ethics and lived a life blessed by God and in His Service. He served in the US Navy, during WW II on the ‘Big E’, and subsequently worked for I.T.T. Kellogg and Automatic Electric as an electrical engineer (telephony) for many years. He will be greatly missed, but we rejoice knowing he is now seeing Jesus face to face.

Funeral Information

Visitation Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville, IL. Funeral Services Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment at Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside, IL
