Roy E. Lauderdale, age 89 of Romeoville, IL formerly Chillicothe and Blue Island, IL. At rest Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. Born September 3, 1923 in Golconda, IL, the son of the late Roy and Clara Lauderdale.

Beloved husband of Helen for 65 years, loving father of Monica (Timothy) Slayman, Patrick Lauderdale, Catherine Gaboury, and the late Roy J. Lauderdale. Cherished grandfather of Kristy, Sarah and Raymond Gaboury.

Served in the US Navy during WW II and has taught music at the elementary level and high school level for many years.
