Geraldine Porter Middleton

Geraldine A. Porter Middleton (nee Anason), age 86, a resident of Titusville, Florida, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Benton House assisted living apartments in Titusville, Florida.

Geraldine A. Middleton (“Gerry”) was born January 1, 1926 in Stanley, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herman and Laura Anason. Gerry moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1942 where she met and married David C. Porter on January 26, 1946. In 1964, Gerry and Dave moved to Naperville, Illinois and remained there until his death in September 1989. In 1992, Gerry met and married Marvin Middleton on October 10, 1992. In 2003, they moved to Titusville, Florida.

She is survived by her spouse and children; Marvin R. Middleton, David M. (Mary Lou) Porter, Lois Jean McNally; 2 sisters; Jean Richardson, and Marlene Barthelmy; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Anason, and a sister Lorraine Malin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 23, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2073 Garden Street, Titusville, Florida. Visitation is scheduled at the church from 3:00 – 4:00 PM. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

Additional visitation Thursday, June 28, 11:00 A.M. – Noon at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St, Naperville.

Funeral Services will follow Thursday, Noon in the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Schumacher officiating.

Interment: Naperville Cemetery, Naperville.
