Lorraine D. Smith (nee Kowalski), age 86, a resident of Crest Hill, IL, formerly of Berwyn, Lyons and Westmont, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at her home. She was born October 3, 1926 in Cicero, IL.

Loving wife of the late Milton W. Czys and the late William G. Smith, beloved mother of Robert “Bob” (Elizabeth) Czys of Urbana, IL , adored grandmother of Karen, Janet and Laura Czys, devoted daughter of the late Harry and Frances Kowalski, dear sister of the late Harold (the late Mildred) Kowalski, aunt of Vincent (Michelle) Kowalski of Chicago.

Lorraine grew up in Cicero and was a graduate of Morton High School. She owned and operated L & K Catering in Berwyn, IL and later worked as a waitress at Bob’s Office in North Riverside, IL, Alfie’s Restaurant in Lyon, IL and Andy’s Steakhouse in Oak Brook, IL. Lorraine enjoyed cooking and crocheting.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, November 17, 1:30-3:30 P.M. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Road (Corner of Rts. 30 & 59), Plainfield.

Memorial Services will follow Saturday, 3:30 P.M. in the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
