Natalie R. Couvillon

February 29, 1932 - August 09, 2017

Natalie R.  Couvillon, nee Reulet age 85, of Lisle, formerly of Gibsonia, PA, and native of Louisiana, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Harbor Chase of Naperville.  She was born February 29, 1932 in Rosedale, LA to the loving late parents, J. Leon and Leona Reulet.  Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin B. Couvillon, Jr.,  wedded on April 23, 1955.  Beloved mother of Phyllis (David) Hill of Huntsville, AL, Cindy (John) Blumberg of Naperville, IL and Larry (Amy) Couvillon of Carrollton, TX.  Adored grandma of Aimee Hill, Ryan and Kelly Blumberg, Julie (Keegan) Kemp, Alyssa James, Lindsey and Grace Couvillon.   Fond sister of the late Mary Helen Angelloz.  In 1950, Natalie graduated from Shady Grove High School in Rosedale and she was on the girls basketball team.  After high school, she attended Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge and majored in Business Administration.  She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority until she graduated in 1954.  Natalie and Alvin began their lives together in 1955 in Port Arthur, TX where Alvin was an engineer for Gulf Oil.  Job-transfers over the years took the family to Pittsburgh, PA, Okinawa, Japan, back to Port Arthur, TX and back to Pittsburgh, PA again until Alvin's retirement.  After Alvin's death in 1993, Natalie moved to the Chicago area in 2007 to be near family.  She enjoyed meeting people and was active with several volunteer committees at the Villa St. Benedict Senior Living Center in Lisle, IL where she lived for the past 10 years.    

Funeral Information

 Visitation and funeral services will be Monday, August 21st 9:00-10:00  AM at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, with funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will follow services at Greenoaks Cemetery.
