Sophia A. Hynes

Sophia A. Hynes, 84, of Amelia, OH and formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield.
Sophia is survived by her loving children, Mercy (Ray) Garner, Helen (Jeffrey) Post, Ruth (Wayne) Wozniak, Marcus (LuAnne) Hynes, Walter (Jodi) Hynes, Marian (Byron) Wentworth, James (Sandy) Hynes, Jr. and Martin Hynes; and her 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Hynes, Sr. and her son-in-law, Wesley Skvarla.
Sophia was born in the Philippines and survived the occupation and WWII. She met the love of her life, James, while he was serving in the US Army. They married in 1948, moved to the United States in 1949 and remained deeply devoted to each other until his passing in 1982.
Visitation will be Friday, July 20, 9:00 AM until the time of funeral services begin at 11:00 AM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St, Naperville. All are welcome to meet for the final committal services at 1:30 PM at Troy Grove Cemetery in Troy Grove, Illinois.
