James J. “Jim” Misloski, 76, a lifelong Naperville, IL resident, was called home to the Lord Saturday, May 4, 2013. He was born December 25, 1936 in Chicago.
Beloved husband of the late Elaine J. Misloski (nee Szamlewski) of Naperville, whom he married December 12, 1969, loving father of Teresa (Mike) Paszkiewicz of Reynoldsburg, OH, Vicki Misloski of St. Louis, MO, Kim (Steve) Nash of St. Louis, MO, Jim (Paula) Misloski of Centennial, CO and William (Heather) Misloski of Wheaton, IL, loving step-father of Barbara McDonald of Wheaton, IL and Curt Pozan of Grand Rapids, MI, adored grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of one, devoted son of the late William T. and Katherine (nee Gillhoover) Misloski, dear brother of Janice (Robert) Smith, fond uncle of many.
Jim was born in Chicago and grew up in Naperville. After high school, Jim served many years in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Air Force Reserves. After the Air Force, Jim was self-employed as a carpenter and then transitioned into heating and air conditioning where he was employed for many years with Gauger & Brucher of Naperville. After retiring, Jim enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening and woodworking.
Visitation Friday, May 10, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Services will begin Saturday, May 11, 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
