James Joseph “Jim” McArdle, age 83, a resident of Naperville, IL for 26 years, formerly of Villa Park, IL, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born June 12, 1928 in Chicago, IL.
Beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee McNamara) McArdle, whom he married February 15, 1986, loving father of Margaret (William) Cronin, James E. (Linda) McArdle, Michael (Sue) Fucilla, James (Lisa) Fucilla, Brian (Jacqueline) Fucilla, Nancy (Michael) Peske and the late Eileen (Patrick) Russell, adored grandfather of fifteen and the late Austin Fucilla, dear brother of Edward (Marion) McArdle.
Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, achieving the rank of corporal. After his retirement in 1992, Jim and Mary Ellen enjoyed spending their winters in Bonita Springs, FL.
Visitation Wednesday, June 13, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St, Naperville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 14, 10:30 A.M. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville.
Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
