Lou Hartung (nee Backus), age 94, of Naperville, IL, formerly of Chicago, Country Club Hills and Westmont, IL, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Residence in Naperville. She was born April 17, 1917 in Ada, OK. Beloved wife of the late Edward P. Hartung, loving mother of Kay Hartung of Westmont, devoted daughter of the late Herbert C. and Dovie Backus, dear sister of the late Virgie Wade, Lucille Hudson, Roy Backus, Daisy Jackson and Pauline Tilley, fond aunt of many. Visitation Friday, February 24, 9:00-10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL 60563. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Friday, 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Residence. A luncheon reception will follow the funeral mass. Private Family Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
