Nancy M. Sandercock, age 81 of Bolingbrook, IL at rest Dec. 19, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Residence in Naperville, IL. Born June 5, 1931 in Sweetwater, TX, the daughter of the late Alvin and Corinne Radcliffe. Beloved wife of H. Jay Sandercock, loving mother of Ross (Jill), Robert and Mark (Cathy) Sandercock, cherished grandmother of Michael Sandercock. Dear sister of the late Rex Lee Radcliffe. Received her R.N. degree from Evanston Hospital, Class of 1953 and obtained a B.A. Degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL. Nancy was a Orthopedic Nurse at University of Illinois Research Hospital in Chicago, IL from 1953 – 1955, from 1983 – 1998 she worked with the Bridgeway Mental Health Center in Galesburg, IL as a Psychiatric Nurse and became a certified Mental Health Specialist. Member of the Abingdon, IL city council and was appointed to the Illinois Council on aging by Governor Jim Edgar. Member of Compass Church of Naperville, IL, the Delta Delta Delta Sorority at University of Texas in El Paso, TX, member of PEO Chapter BB-BB Abingdon, IL and chapter JY in Naperville, IL. She was an avid golfer and runner who participated in many 5K and 10K races. Was a substitute teacher in District 203, Naperville, IL at Kennedy Junior High and Naperville Central High School, where she was loved by both staff and students. Nancy loved and adored her grandson Michael. Funeral InformationA Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Compass Church in the Children’s Worship Center, 1551 Hobson Road, Naperville, IL with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM.
