Richard “Dick” S. Winzer, age 86 of Naperville, IL formerly of Lake in the Hills, IL and Elk Grove Village, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Tabor Hills Nursing Home of Naperville. Born July 18, 1927 in Sellersville, PA. Beloved husband of Mary E. Winzer, wedded for 67 years. Loving father of Paula (Dusty) Dastrup of Salt Lake City, Utah and Karen Romano of Geneva, IL. Cherished grandfather of Ang Romano (Sam Miller), Andrea (Paul) Bagioli, Katie (Bob) Konow, Jaime (Nick) Diachun, and Jim Romano. Great-grandfather of Emmy Bagioli. Preceded in death by his parents: Frederick and Bertha Winzer. Dick graduated from Kutztown High School, Kutztown, PA class of 1944. He went on to serve in the US Navy during WWII. Dick was past president of the James Kemper Insurance Company of Chicago. He went on to start his own insurance business called Automotive Professionals Inc. He was a long time member of Medinah Country Club and a Mason Member. He was an avid golfer. For more information, 630-355-0213.

Memorial visitation: Saturday, October 19th 2:00-4:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540. Memorial Funeral Service to follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment is private.
