Bari Lynn Ford (nee Sheff), age 63, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 1990, formerly of Overland Park and Olathe, KS, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at her home. She was born January 31, 1949 in Los Angeles, CA.

Beloved wife of Wayne E. Ford, whom she married February 20, 1984, loving mother of Rick (Margie) Lee (U.S.N.) of Pensacola, FL, Ryan (Jana) Ford of Joliet, IL, Jeri (Rob Trefil) Ford of Karnak, IL and Cody Ford of Plainfield, adored grandmother of Ricky Lee; Hailey and Peyton Ford, devoted daughter of the late Richard and Phyllis Jean (nee Finke) Sheff, dear sister of Jennifer (Jeff) Powers of Parker, CO, daughter-in-law of Kathleen (the late William) Ford of Aurora, IL, sister-in-law of Thomas Ford of Los Angeles, CA, Eileen (Mike) Cepko of Naperville, IL, Paula (Jay) Jackson of Naperville and Gerald “Jerry” (Julie) Ford of Plainfield, fond aunt of many.

Bari grew up in Aurora and Holyoke, CO. She worked for Illinois Bell and LaPetite Academy in Houston, TX and Olathe, KS. Most recently, Bari was employed in the Media Center at the Walker’s Grove Elementary School, Plainfield. Bari was an active volunteer with her husband, Wayne, in Plainfield Junior Cats youth football, serving as Secretary and as coach of the Cheer & Poms Squads.

Visitation Thursday, November 15, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Road (Corner of Rts. 30 & 59), Plainfield.

Funeral Services Friday, November 16, 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
Interment: Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield, IL.
