Beverly J. Jansen (nee Lamoreaux), age 72, a resident of LaPorte, IN, formerly of Custer Park and Plainfield, IL (1968-1996), died on Friday, November 9, 2012 at IU Health LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, IN. She was born August 10, 1940 in Ritchey, IL.
Beloved wife of William P. “Bill” Jansen, whom she married August 27, 1960, loving mother of James “Jim” (Susan) Jansen of LaPorte and Joanne Rodriguez of Delray Beach, FL, adored grandmother of Jacob Wayne Jansen, Sean McCallister, Abednego “Benny” and Aramis Rodriguez, cherished great-grandmother of Tyler and Aidan McCallister, devoted daughter of the late James W. and Doris L. (nee Oeckel) Lamoreaux, dear sister of Larry (Diane) Binns of DeMotte, IN and the late Susan Rector, fond aunt of many.
Beverly grew up in Custer Park, attended Wilmington High School and graduated from Braidwood High School in 1959. She was active in the Emergency Services & Disaster Agency (ESDA) in Plainfield for almost 20 years and was also actively involved in the Girl Scouts of America. Beverly enjoyed ceramics.
Visitation Tuesday, November 13, 3:00-8:00 P.M. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Road (Corner of Rts. 30 & 59), Plainfield.
Funeral Services Wednesday, November 14, 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
Interment: Plattville Cemetery, Plattville, IL.
