Helen Bell Engelbach, age 102 of Warrenville, IL passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2012. Born July 13, 1909 in Titusville, PA, she graduated from Thiel College with a degree in chemistry. She married Robert Engelbach in 1933 and settled in Warrenville in 1945. She taught for 30 years and retired in 1975. After retirement, she served as president and treasurer of the Warrenville Public Library Board. Helen is survived by her children Georgia (Robert) Williams, Bruce (Jean) Engelbach, Gordon (Halina) Engelbach and Joyce (Terry) Szpiech. Proud grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 12 and fond aunt of two. She was preceded in death by her husband, and her son Gary. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Warrenville Public Library would be appreciated. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9:00- 10:00 AM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM with Rev. Robert McNeill officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. |
