James W. “Jim” McMahon, age 80, a resident of Mokena, IL, formerly of Hazelcrest, IL, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Residence in Naperville, IL. He was born June 5, 1932 in Chicago, IL. Beloved husband of Judith Ann (nee Korres) McMahon, whom he married August 6, 1966, loving father of twins: Jeffrey S. (Kristyne) McMahon of Hoffman Estates, IL and Jennifer McMahon of Geneva, IL and Megan McMahon of Chicago, adored grandfather of Quinn and Avery McMahon, devoted son of the late James W., Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Gordon) McMahon, dear brother of Larry (Maggie) McMahon of Huntley, IL and the late Dan (the late Mary) McMahon, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim grew up on Chicago’s West Side and was employed for many years with First National Bank of Chicago (now Chase). He was a tireless community volunteer and enjoyed skiing. Visitation Thursday, January 3, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Brief prayers, eulogies and a final viewing will take place Friday, January 4, 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home and there will be a procession to an 11:30 A.M. committal service in the chapel at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
