Sandra K. Bavone went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2012 surrounded by her loving family by her side at the home of her son, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born May 27, 1947 in Melrose Park, IL. Cherished wife of the late Dominick “Dom” Bavone, wedded October 29, 1967. Beloved mother of Scott (Leigh Ann) Bavone, Todd (Denise) Bavone, Thomas (Tonya) Bavone, Dominick Bavone Jr. (Kelly Bortkewicz), Tricia Fontana, and Christine (Paul) Sherry. Loving grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 2. Dear sister of Donna Robinson as well as many extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by her, parents, Buell and Hatti Robinson and brothers, Clifford Robinson, Chuck Manning and sister, Gene Schmidt.

Visitation Sunday, August 12, 1:00 until 7:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544 (Corners of Rt. 30 & Rt. 59) Additional Visitation Monday, August 13, beginning at 10:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 24024 W. Main Street, Plainfield, IL with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment at St. Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Plainfield, IL.
