Edward J. Romei, age 90, passed away on December 10, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 30, 1922 in Chicago. Ed is survived by his loving children, Marie Eubanks of Joliet, Edward (Mary) Romei, Jr. of Chicago, Vince Romei of Des Plaines, Fran (the late Ed) Skrobania of Romeoville, James Romei of Franklin Park; his thirteen wonderful grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his dear sister-in-law, Josephine Edin. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Agnes Romei, nee Murolo. Proud US Army Veteran of WWII, European and North African campaigns. Funeral InformationVisitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 4:00 until 9:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 13, 10:30 AM at St Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
