Julia G. Dumler (nee Terry), age 89, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1968, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL. She was born February 7, 1923 in Hays, KS. Devoted wife of the late Herman A. Dumler, whom she married June 7, 1947 and who preceded her in death in 1984. She was the cherished mother of Michael (Kathy) Dumler of Towanda, IL and Timothy (Julie) Dumler of Naperville, beloved grandmother of Irena and Dan Dumler and Jake and Sarah Dumler, devoted daughter of the late Matthew and Pauline Terry, dear sister of eight deceased siblings, fond aunt of many. Julia grew up in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood and was a 1941 graduate of St. Michael’s Central High School in Old Town. She married and began raising her family in Skokie, IL before moving to Naperville in 1968. Julia was employed at Harris Bank, Washington Street & 5th Avenue in Naperville from 1971-1985, retiring as a Bank Officer/Safe Deposit Manager. She was also president of the Illinois Safe Deposit Association. Julia was a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Naperville and enjoyed reading and gardening. Visitation Monday, April 2, 9:00-11:00 AM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Funeral services will follow Monday, 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Children’s Memorial Foundation, Attn. Tribute Program, Department 4589, Chicago, IL 60122. |
